Adam Hamdy is a British author and screenwriter working with studios and production companies on both sides of the Atlantic. He is known for the Scott Pearce series, including Black 13, and the Pendulum trilogy. James Patterson described Pendulum as ‘one of the best thrillers of the year’, and the novel was a finalist for the Glass Bell Award for contemporary fiction. Candice Fox is the author of twelve crime novels and the winner of three prestigious Ned Kelly Awards. In fact, she is the only author to have been shortlisted for that award for every single novel. She has co-written seven New York Times bestsellers with James Patterson. Candice's novels Crimson Lake and Redemption Point were adapted into a major ABC TV series called Troppo. A meticulous researcher, Candice has interviewed a serial killer on Death Row, been to prison three times (for work purposes) and while on honeymoon in the US, took a road trip to famous crime scenes looking for clues. J.D. Barker
Born January 7, 1971, in Lombard, Illinois, Barker was an avid reader from a young age, transitioning from the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew to classics by Dickens and Twain, and eventually discovering Shelley, Stoker, and Poe. His early writing, influenced by these authors, centred on witches and ghosts. Barker attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, earning a degree in business. His writing caught the eye of Paul Gallotta, leading to work at 25th Parallel Magazine. In 1992, Barker began a syndicated column on haunted places. Transitioning to fiction, he wrote Forsaken, published in 2014, which garnered significant acclaim and was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award. His success with Forsaken led to co-authoring Dracul and his debut thriller, The Fourth Monkey, solidifying his place as a bestselling author. Barker splits his time between Florida and New Hampshire with his family.
James O. Born
The Florida State University graduate with a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi, began his career as a DEA agent during Miami’s 1980s drug war before becoming a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. His law enforcement experience inspired his transition to writing. After consulting for authors like Elmore Leonard and various TV shows, Born released his debut novel, Walking Money, in 2004, to much acclaim. His series continued with Escape Clause, winning a gold medal in the Florida Book Award. Under the pseudonym James O’Neal, he penned futuristic thrillers like The Human Disguise. In 2015, Born began co-writing with James Patterson, taking on the Michael Bennett series. A prolific speaker and writer, Born lives on Florida’s east coast with his wife, Donna and has two children, John and Emily.
Maxine Paetro
Maxine Paetro, an American author, has been published since 1979. From 1975 to 1987, she worked as a recruiter and EVP creative department manager at New York advertising agencies. Paetro's first book, How to Put Your Book Together and Get a Job in Advertising (1979), is considered an industry bible. It was around this time that Paetro met Patterson, but it wasn’t until 2005, when they began working together on the Women’s Murder Club series. The duo have now written over thirty books together, including 4th of July. Paetro has also written standalone books, including Manshare, Baby Dreams, and Windfall, and the Sunday Times ranks her #16 for the most #1 titles over the past forty years. Paetro is married to John A. Duffy, and their garden, Broccoli Hall, and koi fish project have been featured in national magazines.
Mike Lupica
Mike Lupica is a renowned American sportswriter known for his provocative and insightful commentary. As a syndicated columnist for the New York Daily News, his popular "Shooting from the Lip" column showcases his uncompromising view of professional sports. Starting his career at 23, covering the New York Knicks for the New York Post, he later became the youngest columnist for the New York Daily News in 1977. Over his 30-year career, Lupica has expanded his repertoire to include magazines, novels, sports biographies, non-fiction books, and television. His work spans numerous publications like Esquire, Sports Illustrated, and Playboy. Lupica has co-written autobiographies, penned bestsellers, and written young adult novels that have topped the New York Times bestseller list. Patterson and Lupica met many years ago at a bar, and pride themselves on writing strong female characters in their novels together. He resides in Connecticut with his family and is an active youth sports coach.
