About
Zirk van den Berg is a South African living in New Zealand. He published his first story in Huisgenoot when he was 18. He wrote two literary Afrikaans works of fiction while he was a journalist on the arts pages of Die Burger in the 1990s. Zirk emigrated to New Zealand shortly after that where he settled, in Auckland, and set up a small publishing services firm. He published two novels in English since moving to New Zealand.
