About
David Hofmeyr, author of Stone Rider, was born in South Africa and now lives between London and Paris. In 2012 he was a finalist in the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition, and in 2013 he graduated with distinction from Bath Spa University with an MA in Writing for Young People. David now works as Planning Director for a big advertising firm in the UK. The idea for Stone Rider was born in a workshop with David’s writing coach, Steve Voake. Some of David’s favourite authors include Stephen King, Patrick Ness, Matt Haig, John Green, Tim Winton and personal friend Clare Furniss. David writes mostly in the evenings and late at night, but dreams about his stories all the time and jots down ideas wherever he goes.
