About the Author
Mpho Tshukudu is a registered dietitian with a special interest in integrative and functional nutrition. In her practice, she uses food and its nutritional compounds, stress management, sleep and exercise to promote optimal health. She completed a Master’s in Food Culture, Communication and Marketing with a focus on high-quality, sustainable foods at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy.
 
Mpho’s work consistently emphasises ancient indigenous knowledge, making connections between traditional African foods and the scientific nutritional concepts used by modern health professionals. Her book,  Eat Ting  (2016), written in collaboration with Dr. Anna Trapido, was the South African national winner in the Health and Nutrition category of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
